All students must pass Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System tests in English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science to receive a diploma from a Massachusetts public high school. Baystate Academy students take the ELA, Biology and Mathematics MCAS tests in spring of the 10th grade.

Baystate Academy offers the PSAT in 11th grade for free during school hours. The PSAT/NMSQT is great practice for taking the SAT.
